You do have to pair the watch with a cell phone, works best with an android phone. I have had mine for about a month and find it very useful, especially when at work and it is not appropriate to have my cell phone out. It is all depends on what you want to do with the watch. If you want to make calls with it then this is not the watch for you. If you want to get your notifications and access google, etc when you can't use your phone then this is the right watch.

However I have an iPhone and this watch wasn't made for that, so if you connect it to an android phone you'd probably have better function. It does have to be synced with your cell at all times and your cell has to be close by or it's pretty much just a watch. If you use it a fair amount it will go dead half way thru the day. Then, you don't even have a watch. I don't care for android phones or Apple watches so this was the best I could do. I'm hoping the techs can help me figure out how to stay connected.
