• This is an unlocked, GSM device. Which means it should ( and will ) work in India. US version has some special design considerations (no dual sim), but such considerations are not significant enough to make this device not usable in other countries.

• Yes it works with Airtel and Vodafone for sure. I have taken this to India and it worked with the Airtel Sim card. You need to change some network settings on the phone however.
