• Yes, I did so and got my Gift Card on the store.

• I also bought on line, pick up the phone at the store, however they sent the gift card to a physical address. I've asked them to give me the gift card when picking up the phone, but they informed what I mentioned.

• I just called my local store and they said the gift card was effective at store purchase as well, so I would say yes to your question.
