• Hi Dayne39, Thank you for your question. On the Moto G 5G 2024, a person can power the phone off by pressing and holding the power button until the power menu appears, even if the phone is locked. There is no requirement to enter a personal passcode or PIN just to turn the device off. If the phone is in certain secured states (for example, after a restart or depending on specific settings), it may prompt for a PIN before it starts up again, but powering it down from a locked screen does not require the user’s code. -Mitch
