Must be standard Nano SIM: 8.8 x 12.3mm. Using an Italian SIM card you are going to have to buy cellular service at Italy. The alternate method is using WiFi with your existing U.S. SIM card most places do not charge use of WiFi, you are going to get charged International charges if you use your current Cellular Service Provider.

Our phones should work in countries where you may be traveling, though we cannot guarantee all features are supported. Please check with your mobile service provider to see if your SIM is expected to operate. Please note that we never recommend buying a phone in one region for ongoing use in another as Motorola phones are only under warranty in the country/region in which they are intended for sale. -Ythan
