4G isn't going anywhere for a long time I don't put very much stock into this 5G mess but I tell you I did buy a new 5G phone and it's still running on 4G LTE just like probably all of them are I do not know about the T-Mobile I'm using mine on Verizon prepaid and all you have to do is purchase the phone and if you already have a T-Mobile phone with a SIM card in it then download the T-Mobile phone service app and follow the directions to change devices. You should be able just to put your sim card into the new phone and and be making phone calls after your data transfers to your new phone if you don't want the stuff off of your old phone then it'll be even faster but it won't take long to make the calls after you set up just a few minutes
