Yes it will work with Verizon's network but VoLTE and wi-fi calling will not work so you need to have a decent cell connection where you are at. When I switched phones I stopped getting voice calls or they would barely go through because it was using CDMA analog signal to try to get it to my phone. The only way to enable the VoLTE (Which means the voice traffic goes over the network and not analog signals that are barely used anymore) you have to convert your prepaid account into a post paid one. I had prepaid for many years and they switched me over without a credit check or anything. I was on the unlimited plan which the post paid account was probably about $5 for the same service (I picked the cheapest unlimited plan they have). I think if you have a lot of trouble with voice calls you're going to either have to go post paid or return the phone and get something else directly from Verizon. Verizon does not allow wi-fi calling on unlocked phones. You have to buy the phone from them (a few Apple units work though) there is no other choice to get wifi calling. My mom has the extact same phone as I do but we got hers from Verizon and she has wi-fi calling and I can't enable it, Just company policy. There is a work around. Open a Google voice account and you can install the app on your phone and it will allow you to text and call through the internet and also from any device you can log into. I use it and forward my main cell number to it for the free transcripted visual voicemails. It would be a different number and when you leave your wifi zone you'll need to call them back on your regular cell. I'd say if you manage to get 2 out of 5 bars for 4 G in your house you wont have any trouble and won't have to do this. It's only if you don't get a cell signal inside the house. Those are the two major issues with voice over the internet and using an unlocked phone. Verizon should absolutely drop both policies most of our unlocked phones are totally capable of wi-fi calling. I have a decent signal at home so I luckily don't need it. You can also rent an extention which plugs into your network and expands the 4G throughout the house. I like using Google Voice. I had to learn all this the hard way as Verizon and Motorola had no idea why VoLTE wasnt working on my phone. the answer was simply it was because I was on a prepaid account. I figured it out by putting my sisters sim card in my phone and she is post paid and my VoLTE options showed up and it worked like normal. When I pointed this out to Verizon they admitted they don't allow VoLTE on prepaid accounts. We tried to activate it many different ways and it wouldn't work. Only switching my account to a post paid one made it start immediately working, Since you can't get the power 2021 at Verizon it will not support wi-fi calling at all. I might pick up a 2021 Stylus and it will have the same issue.
