Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This phone is RCS....My previous phone was an i-phone. With my new phone, I could text out to everyone, no matter what phone they had, but I was not receiving responses from i-phone users. My son found the issue after a week of UGH!!!!!! I had to open my old phone, turn on wi-fi for a bit, and go into settings and turn off i-messaging. Then shut down wi-fi again, and send my i-phone friends a test text, asking for a response. Their responses came through!!!! YAY!

The Moto G Power 2026 phone comes with Android 16 out of the box and will continue to receive regular security updates to help keep the device protected and running smoothly. While we always work to provide software updates to eligible devices, specific timelines or future upgrade schedules are not announced in advance. Regarding messaging, the phone supports standard Android messaging features and works with RCS (Rich Communication Services) when using a compatible messaging app (such as Google Messages) and when the feature is supported by your carrier. -Mitch
