“I would like to know how to get my Samsung tv to recognize this phone when I try to screen mirror it. I have tried the chrome cast as well and it jus t does not recognize the phone. It does charge while plugged in to tv.”

I'm not sure how to get your Samsung TV to recognize your phone. But I have a chromecast and I'm able to screen mirror from my phone easily. Try downloading the Google home app and setting up your Chromecast through it. You might have to do a factory reset on your Chromecast. there should be a little button on your Chromecast that you hold down to reset. Also make sure your Chromecast and your phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
