When you visit the Geek Squad counter, simply let them know that you'd like assistance setting up security measures on your new phone. They will be happy to help you configure these settings to ensure your device is secure before you leave the store. -Mitch

I do know you can leave the store, use your phone (or product) for up to 30 days and add Geek Squad Coverage in store ( unknown if any other way) as long as coverage is added within 30 days of purchase date. I do it all the time. When cashier asks me if I want to add coverage at time of purchase, I double check that I have 30 days to add it. That way in case something has changed, or the product I am purchasing has a different set up, I will be informed at the check out. This way I do not lose out.
