2021 model has no NFC -- you have to go with the 2022 model for that. Reviews indicate the 2022 model -- felt like a small downgrade -- even though they added things like NFC and swapped the processor. They even reconfigured the cameras. I have not run across anyone proclaiming anything about the 2022 model like I have the 2021 model.
