Moto G Stylus 5G has an advanced nano-coating technology creates a water repellent barrier to help protect against moderate exposure to water such as accidental spills, splashes or light rain. Motorola phone is not designed to be submersed in water, or exposed to pressurized water, or other liquids. Not waterproof. -Mitch

• Hi, The official word is it can't be submerged, but don't give up on it if it's dropped in water. I dropped mine briefly in a shallow bath and it was completely fine, no hitches or chances to how it is works thankfully. I was impressed considering there's no official IP rating advertised.

• Fell in a swimming pool for just a moment, got out. Phone was in my pocket and died. Definitely not waterproof.

• All Motorola phones have a water resistant nano coating. Motorola was the first to come out with nano coating technology. I wouldn't take underwater pictures with it but it's fine if you drop it in a puddle
