How can I get the activation discount if I already have an existing Verizon line? I keep getting an error. null

I had the same issue. Called Best Buy and they said Verizon controls that activation portion of their website. Called Verizon and she said the discount is only available for newly added lines (i.e. you can't transfer your existing line). Yes, it kind of contradicts the website, but she said there is nothing she could do.
