• Hi Domenic, Using of Stylus pen is optional. You can still use your finger to touch, navigate the phone.-Jess

• Your finger or another stylus works fine, but when you remove the stylus, a window pops up where you can choose various style options, such as size and color.

• You finger will work just as the stylus works. The only difference is you would need to open the Note Pad App with your finger, where as the Note Pad opens automatically when you remove the Stylus.
