I bought this phone unlocked, because I hope to use it when I travel , buying local sim cards, and so I am not tied to one carrier. The phone is GSM and CDMA capable. I can't say for sure if it will work everywhere. I would check with BestBuy or Motorola/lenovo. Phones sold by some carriers will only work with that carrier.
