I bought the Moto G5S as a replacement to a budget phone AT&T Go Phone and it sure is a step up on it. I've had no problems as far a signal or dropped calls on AT&T. I also took the nano sim from the old phone and put it this phone and it actually started working. I figured I'd have to go to call or got to the website and put in the IMEI but I didn't have to surprisingly. The screen is very nice and the fingerprint scanner is quick. I also configured the fingerprint scanner as multifunction but it takes practice to get the swipes correct otherwise the phone does something else. Out of the 64GB storage about 11GB is used for the system so you've got 53GB left for your use. The phone has a nice build and finish. However the finish make the phone somewhat slippery so I've had to hold it a little harder than I normally would. I'd recommend getting a third party case for it for better grip. Camera is somewhat slow when taking pictures on the depth mode but hopefully that will be rectified in the future with updates.

The voice quality of this phone is amazing, everyone I talk to sounds crisp and clear. Its fast and responsive, has great battery life and a beautiful screen. I charge it every morning but it rarely goes below 85% after a full days usage. The TurboPower charger really does charge quick, after maybe ten minutes I'm back at 100%. There's plenty of room to install whatever apps I want and since its the unlocked version it came with no bloatware pre-installed. I find that the camera takes excellent pictures, despite what I read online. I did update the camera software right away, so maybe that's why. One con is that its a little difficult to find a quality case for it. I originally picked up the Incipio case available at BB (the only one for this phone) but later swapped it out for one made by Spigen that fits and looks awesome. Just in case you are wondering, this phone is running a 32bit version of Nougat. I definitely recommend this phone to anyone looking for a great phone at a good price.

In the style of Moto this is a good quality device with many features. I was replacing another brand of phone and was looking for something with good speed and quality. So far this one was quite a bit better than the last phone I had. I have been very happy with the Moto for the short time I have had it in service. I am hoping that it continues to be a good device. The battery seems to last like most others with the use it gets. I can make it through the day without much trouble in the power department. Good value for the price!

I'm coming from the Moto X Pure Edition and found this to be a great replacement. The battery life is phenomenal with almost 8 hours screen on time. I also love the fingerprint sensor with multi function capability. It gives extra screen room when used. 4gb ram and 64gb storage makes this phone an excellent choice. They say it will be updated to Android 8.0 Oreo.

This is a quality phone. It has a lot of features that are found in phones costing significantly more. The dual rear camera is fast and takes great pictures. The screen seems to be quite responsive. This phone feels great in the hand, not cheap and plastic - like like other phones in this price range. I highly recommend this phone.

The phone is incredibly fast and has lots of internal storage. The camera also has a fast shutter and takes incredible pictures when the lighting is just right. The screen is bigger than my last phone. Sound is better, clearer. This was a worthy investment!

Updated from my Galaxy S4 and am very happy. Love the big screen and FM radio. Took a few days to get used to Moto navigation and change notification sounds. Have not been able to figure out screen mirroring to Samsung TV yet . Buying experience at Best Buy was very good. At first they delivered the wrong model to store ( similar Moto number) and then corrected a couple of days later. They also installed my TMobile sim card in Holmdel store which involved cutting old one down to size.

I bought this phone after shattering the display on my Moto X Pure. My wife has the G5 Plus. I have been using it for 10 days. The build quality of the phone is great. It doesn't equal that of the Moto X Pure, but exceeds the G5 Plus. The processor and RAM make the phone quite snappy. It can handle anything you throw at it. I am also very happy with the screen color quality and brightness. My Moto X Pure had the best display I have ever used in bright sunlight. The G5S+ rivals it. I don't like the bottom facing speaker. It fails in comparison to both the Moto X and G5 Plus front-facing speaker(s). It is however loud and hearing notifications is not a problem. When I am sitting I have a tendency to rest the bottom of the phone on my belly during use. I think everyone does this to some extent. This type of use blocks the sound from the speaker. Your hand blocks the speaker when holding the phone in the landscape position. The battery life absolutely dominates my Moto X Pure and is equal to that of the G5 Plus. You can easily get a full day from the phone with moderate to heavy use. I am getting 5+ hours of screen-on time. Lastly, the camera setup. Shooting "normal" photos with the rear-facing camera is extremely difficult. There is a 1-2 second delay after pressing the shutter before the photo actually takes. There is also a delay as the camera saves the photo. This delay happens with the front-facing camera too. There is also a reduction in image quality when the camera saves pictures. It almost seems like the resolution is downsizing. Especially with the front facing camera. I get images with resolution in the 1-2 mega px area when it should be 6-8. One of the main features of the phone is the depth camera. All I can say is that it is unusable. The delay in saving one of these pictures is 5-6 seconds. Attempts to edit any of the images in the depth editing photo software result in forced app closures. I can't edit anything without a crash. Also, one of the camera sensors is monochrome and there is no ability to use it for monochrome photos. Why? Front and rear video quality are problematic too. Overall, I really want to love this phone but these camera issues are a killer. Based on my research into the hardware, the camera sensors are capable. However, the software fails. Given my history with Moto products, I am extremely disappointed. This phone should not have been released with such major camera bugs. Especially when the camera setup is its most touted feature. I am now left with a choice to return it and move on or keep it and hope Moto/Lenovo prioritizes a viable response to these problems. At this juncture I simply cannot recommend this phone. Your better off saving money and going with the G5 Plus. I would be happy keep this phone and better my review if Moto can guarantee substantial improvements with the cameras in a timely manner.

Short Review: See final thoughts below. Long Review: I have been a long time fan of the moto G series phones. I personally have had the G4 plus, and the G5 plus. My wife had the moto G3. My wife was do for an upgrade and planned to replace with the standard G5 plus. That is, until this phone was announced. Compared to the G5 plus, this phone has a bigger screen, a dual camera system, and a new solid aluminium build. While nice, the aluminum build doesn't seem as nice as I anticipated. The device is heavy, and the chamfered edges are a tad "sharp". The camera is the biggest disappointment. The dual camera allows for images with an aggressive depth of field. This feature does not work well and takes a very long time for the camera to process an image in that mode. It is possible to get some decent images, but it doesn't happen often. Hopefully a software update can help here. One last gripe... Test vibration motor in this phone is odd. It's almost teeth rattling. Final Thoughts: This phone is a good example of a company trying too hard. Motorola already has four great devices in the budget segment, this phone adds some "premium" features. These features are poorly implemented, resulting in a somewhat disappointing experience. If you are considering this phone, I would recommend the standard G5 plus. That is a truly great phone.

This Android Unlocked for any carrier Phone has lots of memory and fast processor and RAM. A lot for the money 224. Movies even to 4K, but camera reviews have been mixed. Not sure if low light movies will be good. haven't tested it enough. Also, you can't have this phone and an iPhone, and move the sim back and forth. At least not with Verizon, as it's a different type sim. too bad.

So a friend of mine uses Moto G5. I asked him about this particular product and he recommended me to buy. As soon as I went to the BestBuy website I saw the Moto GS5 Plus. I fell in love with it even more when I started reading the specs. This phone has a unique quality. It has a smooth process. 64GB storage which is more than enough. Flashlight front camera. Dual Camera-s in the back. For $349.99 this is a bargain. It has 4 GB of Ram which is beyond amazing. I am so satisfied with my purchase and I recommend to everyone. Thanks Moto!!

I decided to wait until I had this for several months before I left a review. I bought this phone specifically for the pure android experience. I have had several other phones and all of them slow down rather quickly once I get my apps installed. In fact, I had 1/3 more of unused ram memory compared to my previous phone once all my apps were install. That tells you how much the bloat ware was slowing everything down. Just to give you an idea, I had the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. Great phone right? NO!! I just could not take how slow the phone was moving. The bloat ware was just annoying. This phone is better in every respect over the S7 edge, except for one: Camera. However, I knew going into this phone that the camera would be mediocre at best. The s7 edge camera was exceptional. The camera on this phone is average. Having dual cameras does not do much. But the camera works ok in good light and gets worse the less light you have. But that is what you sacrifice spending less money. However, overall I love this phone. I will never go back to a bloat ware phone, EVER! I thought about waiting for another budget phone that would have the bezeless display. However, after seeing and holding one at a display in Best buy, I realized I hated them. Felt like I was holding a hot dog (I am serious). Would prefer them to keep the screen the same size and eliminate the bezels so the ration is still 16:9. Same size screen but smaller phone. Highly recommend this phone.

I've had this phone for over a year now and couldn't be happier. I love everything about this phone. The size is perfect, the picture and sound quality is excellent. I love how fast it charges and stays charged all day long. I have also never had a problem with memory or lack of storage. I take a ton of photos and have a lot of games for my kids installed and still have tons of storage space. I've dropped it several times with no problems at all, I do have a case on it but I've dropped it at least once while out of the case. I've splashed water on it multiple times as well with no problems. I've not found a single bad thing about it, I am so glad that I chose this phone!

I switched to this phone from much more expensive one. I was taken off guard by the quality. At this price point I was expecting something like a BLU phone. Boy was I wrong! I'm not a gamer. In fact I've never really had a game on any phone I've ever had. But the phone is great to use. I haven't experienced anything negative yet. Good battery life, fast processing speed(with multiple apps running at the same time), nice typing keyboard, no bloatware, and nice camera. I'm a believer in the ability to have a cheaper phone but not take a huge hit in quality.
