Yes, in this situation Verizon calls it an "activation fee" which is the same 40 charge as an upgrade. Verizon is going to get theirs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. With Verizon as long as you are eligible for an upgrade you can do it BUT there is an activation fee. I was told by Best Buy the activation fee would be $30 but Verizon is trying to charge me $40 so I will be battling that charge. It even is specified on order $30 activation fee. Always an argument when it comes to Verizon and Best Buy does not help in resolving the issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had no upgrade charge when I purchased my motog6.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I purchased the phone for $72 at Best buy after owning a G5 for over two years. My Verizon says I'm still eligible for an upgrade so I don't think it affected anything and there was no upgrade charge (yet that I know of).
