If I remember correctly, you stay with them for 2 years. Unfortunately, I don't remember 100% because for where I live and what I do for work, I have to have Verizon for ample coverage. So for me, it doesn't really matter how long I have to stay because I am always going to be with Verizon. There also may be different lengths of time for different carriers. Your instore Best Buy associate should be able to answer this question for you accurately. If not convenient to be in the store, I would just give them a quick ring. Hope this helps!
