A:AnswerYes, I already had a Verizon account, so all I had to do was provide my phone number & pin # and they were able to add the new phone and cancel out the other one.... There is a $30 activation fee charged by Verizon, but the deal I got knocked off $50 if phone was activated at time I bought it... so even with tax, I still came out about $5 ahead! Sales Assistant placed the latest Verizon SIM card in phone.... about $5 charge at the Verizon store. I walked out with a charged & ready to use phone.

A:AnswerHi Tvu67, Our phones should work in countries where you may be traveling, though we cannot guarantee all features are supported. Please check with your mobile service provider to see if your SIM will operate. Please note that we never recommend buying a phone in one region for ongoing use in another as Motorola phones are only in warranty in the country/region in which they are intended for sale. -Jess
