Hi merrill, thanks for reaching out. No, this phone will not work with At&t as this carrier requires users to have their phone purchased from them for the wifi calling to work. You may coordinate with At&t to confirm. - Frank
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, no wifi calling yet on AT&T for the g7 Power. The person who said yes was wrong. Here is a link to the ATT website for their current list of all phones -- ATT branded and unlocked -- that ATT has agreed to provision for wifi calling. https://www.att.com/ecms/dam/att/consumer/help/pdf/WiFi_Calling_Compatible_Devices_092019.pdf It doesn't matter what your device is capable of. Most phones of fully capable of using all AT&T's features. AT&T wants you to use AT&T branded phones and is within its legal rights to disable any features it wants to disable on unlocked phones with the exception of making phone calls and sending texts. I have heard of isolated incidents where a super nice tech support person at AT&T has been willing to change the IMEI of the account holder for an IMEI of an approved device on their end but there is no guarantee you will get someone to do it. (Also, the next time you pull your Sim and have to put the Sim back in again, the IMEI will revert and you will lose your provisioning for wifi calling). You can read a lot more in the ATT forum about people who are unhappy that the network cripples advanced calling features in unlocked phones (and is kind of sneaky in its BYOD marketing). There are some very advanced phone users in the XDA Android Forum who have managed -- occasionally -- to flash an unlocked device otherwise identical to a device ATT offers in a branded version with firmware that successfully enables Volte and some other advanced calling features, but even in these instances (which require rooting first) getting wifi calling to work on ATT is a rare accomplishment.
