• The Moto X Pure is on the Lenovo (Motorola's parent company) list of phones to get the 7.0 Nougat update. Sooner than later from a couple of articles I've read.

• Currently the Moto X Pure runs Marshmallow (6.0), but Motorola/Lenovo have said an upgrade to Nougat is in the works.
