“I just went to the Best Buy store, since I couldn't get the online registration through Verizon to work. The BB clerk stated that there's a $40 activation fee and sales tax on the full value of the phone ($670)..I didn't purchase. Does this sound right?”

I have Verizon and got the phone last night as an upgrade. I paid taxes for the promotional price only not the full price. 20 for activation fee but that is payable to Verizon in ur first bill. So I only paid under 8 dlls in taxes.
