• They need to change mac id and your modem type on their system. It is also for your line security.

• You have to contact them to provide them the information on the bottom of your router/modem so they can send service to that box. I know its a hassle, but its a one and done deal. Its nice to know Comcast will help connect your service to a foreign box. Technically, they could make their equipment special. Thank God for Motorola!
