• Mine is on the base/charger at all times, when I'm not using, it throughout the day. I have not noticed any problems with doing this.

• Yes, that is what I do. This is a great phone in my opinion. I leave it plugged in all the time unless using it. It is easy to hold and the sound is nice and clear. I got another one for the other room since I liked this one so much.
