• This feels HEAVY and sturdy. Check the weight on the spec sheet of your 27-inch monitors. Most likely, they'll be fine. Each arm of the MI-4762 monitor mount can support up to 17.6 lbs. About 35 pounds TOTAL.

• The main structure is metal. I don’t know what “decently heavy” means, but I would say the materials will definitely be able to support heavier monitors. I fixed the base by screwing it to the desk. I didn’t have a good spot to fix the base on my desk.
