Hi There, Although, I actually own a 2021 Honda Passport EX L, I also must apply the brakes, before pushing the start button! I have a remote starter and it does start without having to apply the brakes! By using the remote starter, the car starts... however can not be driven, as it is in a different mode, than what it uses to be able to access use of the transmission. Once you are ready to drive, you must be present inside of the car and restart it, as normal in order to shift your gears to be able to move! It's mostly a safety feature and kinda obvious, since why bother having a remote starting system, if you have to go to the car yourself and do anything else to actually use it... that would not make any sense and be a completely useless feature! I am positive that your vehicle is the same and you'll love your remote starter, especially if you live in an area that experiences cold winters! I would never even consider a car without this feature and have not went without it on any of my last 3 cars, over the past 25 years and will never go without one!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
