- Answer When i had this problem in Nov 2024, i was able to open the base, disconnect the hose that was coming from the base of the water reservoir, and physically probe the “valve” to remove a gooey calcium deposit. After that, the descaling solution was able to flow.

- Answer Check and make sure the bracket is seated properly each time you put fresh grounds in. I think either it gets spun a little in the brewing process, or the handling of removing the old grounds and putting in fresh.

- Answer The original coffee pot, was connected on the reservoir, I think people had a hard time closing it. Now they make it so it just lays on top. Still great coffee maker, just easier for people to put the lid on the reservoir. I personally liked the connected one, but understand why they changed it on the newer models.

- Answer No, but because it has a built in clock/timer you can preset a time to start your brewing. The brewing cycle takes about 8 minutes for a full carafe and the unit will beep when completed. It will also keep a minute by minute countdown for the next 2 hours so you know when the last brew was made.

- Answer It uses regular coffee filters where the coffee is placed to brew. But it also has a water filter which I do not used as I utilize filtered water ...so it is totally optional as far I am concerned.
