The area where the carafe rests is likely accumulating dripped coffee, water deposits, etc. Try cleaning the area with a one part white vinegar-3 parts water solution. If that doesn’t help and you find that the plastic surface is actually deteriorating, return it.
A:AnswerI have same problem but have cleaned several times with vinegar and it is still making schilling noise and light on clean button is lit up despite being cleaned..Why? Must be broken time to replace I guess and I have never found a brew strength control button .. figment of someone’s imagination I guess!
