Why is my coffee pot overflowing null

With no disrespect, ...Is it leaking from the pot or the machine? 1) Determine if you have a 10 or twelve cup machine. Are you over filling the reservoir? Assure your filling water no more than the maximum cups. 2) Are you using the coffee pot that came with the brewer? If the pot is shorter than the specified one it will not open the spring loaded drain on the basket and it will overflow from the basket. Those are the only notions and suggestions I have.
