“The clean button is on and the coffee pot is making a piercing shrill noise. What is causing this, and how can I make it stop (other than unplugging?)”

• I have same problem but have cleaned several times with vinegar and it is still making schilling noise and light on clean button is lit up despite being cleaned..Why? Must be broken time to replace I guess and I have never found a brew strength control button .. figment of someone’s imagination I guess!

• When this happened to me today, 4/29/25, i found that the machine was expecting more descaling solution. I got the piercing alarm from 17oz. When i reran the clean cycle with 10 cups, it completed with no alarm.

• You need to put 2 to 3 cups of vinegar in the water reservoir and let it go through its cycle
