• Nvidia Graphics should automatically turn on when you do anything graphics intensive (like gaming). You can always opt to disable Intel graphics altogether, however, this will result in a slightly higher power draw which will reduce your battery life.

• You shouldn't have to switch. The Nvidia graphics should be automatically active when you're using graphics.
