“I read that the GTX 1080 Gaming X Trio came with an optional brace to add support. It sounded like it took up an additional slot. Will this card also come with hat, or has additional support/bracing been built in? Its heavier than the older generation.”

I've seen a few reviews now, and it does come with the brace. A couple of reviewers said they didn't think it was necessary though, and one reviewer put a laser on it to determine that there was no sag. The built in reinforcement was noted, and apparently works well.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes they do come with this card. The brace itself just uses the screw points for the 2 lower slots but does not extend into the slot space itself as it runs down the outside edge if the card.

The brace is more like a thin bar that sticks out from where the PCI slot screws attach to the case. In theory, it could co-exist with a PCI card(s) if that card isn't full height. If you don't have additional PCI cards, you would leave the PCI slot plates there and screw both the plates and the brace to the case.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The card has a metal back plate and is very sturdy. It comes with a brace which does take up an additional slot below the card. I have mine installed without the brace and it was perfectly level.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes this card comes with a support bracket. Yes it takes up the slot below the graphics card. I dont know if you could use it with an SLI setup, it may get in the way.
