The better option would be a type-c USB Gen 3.2 external ssd. The speed surpasses hdd since there are no mechanical components and it can transfer at very high speeds. It really depends what you want to do with it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.As long as the drive is single sided, it will fit the laptop. Please note that some dual sided M.2s do not clear the laptops PCB and will cause a bend which can damage the connector or drive.
