QuestionHow powerful is a 2070 max-q compared to a regular laptop 270, also how would it run high graphic intense games?

- Answer It is less powerful. The desktop RTX 2070 is 115W while the Max-Q is 90W. That being said I’ve run everything I play on Ultra settings. I haven’t played a native ray tracing game like Cyberpunk 2077. But I have played Ghost Recon Breakpoint and Assasins Creed Valhalla, both run fine on 1080p Ultra. Haven’t tried with a 1440p or 4K monitor, I read this is where you’ll start to feel the less power with the Max-Q graphics. Though even the desktop RTX 2070 isn’t great at 4K native gaming.

- Answer No number pad. I didn’t ever see an advertisement that there was a num pad. Just the normal number keys.

- Answer 240Hz is far superior for gaming when compared to 144Hz, to get the most out of the refresh rate you want a good pair of CPU and GPU. Casual gaming on this screen will make any game look smoother, and for competitive gaming this will give you a competitive edge. For school work, unless you are doing any sort of video editing or software/game development for school work, then this computer is more than fine.

QuestionCan I remove the battery? If not, can I leave it plugged in 90% of the time and it not wipe out the battery after a couple of months? I need this for a mix of office work and mobile work.

- Answer MSI Dragon Center (built in hardware manager) has a setting to change the maximum battery charging threshold from 100% to 80% to 60%. It will discharge 10% before charging to this threshold to help maintain battery lifecycle (ie 70% or 50%). I leave mine on 60% Max, and plan ahead to switch to 100% when I know I’ll be working on battery only. It’s a very easy thing to switch. No restart needed, no digging in the BIOS.

- Answer Displays great honestly it does have a bright display haven’t had any issues with glare as much as I had with my previous laptop. I’m not sure on the sRGB not as well versed, in the terminology for monitors. I can tell you that it’s pretty and had low input lag have been using it heavily for cod Cold War and the game looks and runs great on it.
