does this unit have an ethernet port? null

Per the manufacturer specs, it has an Ethernet dongle. the photos on the msi website do not show an RJ-45 jack. http://us.msi.com/pdf/bnp/Modern%2015%20A10M-455.pdf

Indeed the laptop came with a USB-C to Ethernet dongle. There is no onboard ethernet card/port. Only wireless (and ethernet through USB-C). USB-C ethernet and USB-C unpowered hubs are available all over should you lose your MSI provided dongle.
