U dont have to plug the RGB cable onto mother board for the Leds to work because the RGB Led are powered by Sata cable. Only plug it onto motherboard if you wanna control the led by the software come with your motherboard's brand. Btw. I just finish the build. Love the case.

Because the leds are power by the Sata cable connected to the psu. But if you need to custom the leds the color you want. You have to plugg it in to the motherboard.
