Yes, I use a RM650X and I do not have the extra pin connector. that would be more suitable for a really high overclock where you might need to use nitrogen, all other needs, its fine to connect that way.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. Currently running Seasonic Focus Gold 650W with just the 8 pin using Ryzen 3600. No issues at all.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same situation. It runs just fine with one 8 pin CPU power cable and many others have reported the same. Be advised that I have the 65 watt 3700 X, but the 8 pin CPU cable should supplying 175 watts, so that should also be enough for the 105 watt CPUs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’m running my setup just fine with only the 8-pin connector.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will run, and just fine. I believe only a slight limitation to the overclocking ability
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes I am currently only using one 8 pin cpu cable as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The best answer I have is: Maybe. If you search around a bit you will see a lot of people claiming that the 4 pin is only for extreme overclocking, and an equitable amount saying you must use it (User manual agrees with the latter). Since I purchased the board specifically to fix stability issues I didn't chance it and bought a P/S with the needed plugs as well (link below, so far so good). I always recommend connecting what the manufacturer provides for power whether you 'need' it or not to be safe.
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I too had this question. According to Google searches, the other four pins will be necessary if you want to overclock.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm assuming you are talking about the CPU power but yes it will work fine. Only if you wanted to OC your CPU would you need those extra 4.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, This particular motherboard has stability issues and may not even run at all without the 4 pin connected.
