Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. What Intel Cpu do you have? If it is a 7th gen as the HP site says, this motherboard is not compatible with the cpu you have. Could try to help you fixing the problem as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I cannot find the kind of motherboard HP Omen 870-224 has but if you do see if it is ATX since MSI MPG Z290 Gaming Plus is an ATX board. Moreover, it looks like the omes ships with an i5 7400 (7th Generation processor - Codename Kaby Lake) but this motherboard supports only 8th and 9th gen processors along with some Celeron processors. See here. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/MPG-Z390-GAMING-PLUS#support-cpu It is a safe assumption that if you do upgrade to this motherboard you will have to upgrade your CPU. The 1060 card should run just fine. Also, Z series motherboards are meant for overclocking. You should look into the supported motherboard list by Intel for easier searching. http://processormatch.intel.com/MotherBoards/CompatibleBoards?componentName=i5-7400 If this is not your processor, search here. http://processormatch.intel.com/Processors/Index/
