Hello Edi - Yes, this could be a great laptop for someone just getting to gaming. It is important to understand what games you will want to play and validate that this laptop meets the minimum specifications for the best game performance and experience.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.1. If you are a careful shopper and don't absolutely need a laptop, I recommend buying a desktop--you'll always get more bang for the buck, and if you plan well, you are more likely to be able to upgrade critical hardware (RAM, GPU, drive), to a greater extent, more easily, and cheaper than with a laptop. 2. Go to the websites of the games you want to play and check preferred and minimum hardware/software needed. That way, you won't overspend for performance or features you don't need. 3. (This is the most difficult:) Keep in mind that games pretty much always get more demanding in terms of resources, and that you might want to play different games as time passes, so you might want to spend more money now rather than a year or two down the line. I use 5 years as a good time span: if you will need more than what you are buying less than 5 years from now, spend more now. If you can wait 5 years, spend less now.
