Hello bill - this laptop does support upgradable system memory (RAM) and includes 2 slots that are able to support of to 64GBs. It's recommended that any upgrades match the originally included system memory speed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It comes with 8GB of RAM, so you would have to buy a pair of 8GB for 16GB, or a pair of 16GB for 32GB. In either case, you would have to remove the installed RAM. You could also just remove one 4GB module and add a 12GB stick, but you would lose the advantage of dual channel. You could NOT do something similar if you wanted 32GB, since there are no 28GB modules. As to the specifics of the RAM, you could go to the MSI website for this, or just check any seller, including BB, Micron, Crucial, Kingston, Memorystock, Corsair, Memoryforless, and still more.
