I wouldn't recommend it, they have the rubber stuff on the bottom to prevent rattle, also the finish will get screwed if you lay it like that mate.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The subwoofers sit on little rubber nubs that likely dampen vibration. If you sit it on its side on a non-carpeted floor, it would likely create a bit of a rattle as the subwoofer starts thumping. But if it's on carpet or if you put some rubber or felt feet under the subwoofer, there should be no performance hit.
