This system doesn't have up firing speakers, it has has SSE which simulates overhead sounds, which you can adjust the level to the size of your room. It comes with a sample DVD and the 747 jet plane feels like it is flying over your head. The same experience with rain.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It requires an Atmos source plugged directly into one of the hdmi ports on the sound bar. The best one to choose would be Apple TV as there is more Atmos content available from Netflix etc. and Apple has dialed in their settings. You do need high bandwidth cables from the arc port of your TV to the sound bar and again from ATV to your sound bar. Side and rear speakers can be mounted semi or full up firing although most Atmos processing is done electronically in the sound bar itself.
