I see no reason why they can't go on the wall. The subs are designed to be placed on the wall. I would suggest you go on their web site (their support page) and look at the instruction as to the speaker placement. They recommend that the subs be a little forward from from the TV. Look at the web site support or call (calling didn't work well for me) or email them (they respond quickly).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not sure how to build them into the wall, but you can attach them to the wall with hidden wire in the wall. The speaker are odd shaped. One side longer than the other side. Keep in mind that the side (and back) speakers wires are attached to the sub woofer. You can certainly place the sub woofers next to the TV if you hide the wire through the wall. However, the sub woofer speakers face downward to the floor with a couple of inches of space to allow the sound to come out in all directions. So no facing them toward the couch. I have both subs on either side of the couch and it sounds wonderful.
