Hi! No need to purchase anything extra. The Bulb has a fitting base of E26, which will fit in the majority of the sockets. You will need a smartphone or computer (iOS/Android or the Desktop App) to download the Nanoleaf App and from there you’ll be able to control it. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.All you need is the bulb and a iPhone, but it doesn’t work on a dimmer switch. So any lamp that isn’t a plain on/off you may have issues.

Not extras but just download the app. I do not recommend this bulb if you plan to have more than one or what to link to apple HomeKit. It breaks everything. I have a bulb that is orphaned. Resetting of won’t work because it thinks it’s linked already after and it’s not. Ridiculous app looks like a preschooler created it. Broken behind the scenes in the core of the app.
