No extra hub is needed. It does have its own app but also works with apple home app too.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use an Apple TV 4K second generation as my HomeKit hub and was able to setup the lightbulbs and use them in HomeKit without needing another hub or the Nanoleaf app. I did end up installing the app to perform their firmware upgrades though. In HomeKit it’ll tell you their firmware can only be upgraded through the Nanoleaf app.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No hub required and since you have a HomePod mini it and the bulb is equipped with thread. Thread is a brand new standard all must support; it replaces Bluetooth, WiFi, zigbee, etc connections. This is the first bulb on the USA market with thread. So great future proof choice!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, you don’t need another bridge. These work great with a HomePod mini.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.nanoleaf works without a hub, you’re good
