WiFi takes over once it's setup, no need to be close.

Once you are cpnnected via Thread or Matter, you need not worry about the Bluetooth range since you are able to control the Lightstrip with Thread or Wifi. You can even turn off Bluetooth once paired to control the Lightstrip once connected to Thread. However, if you would need a firmware update, that's when you would need Bluetooth.
