• I always use the Apple brand USB C Power Adapter and it works just fine with that

• This is a charging cable made for Apple iPhones/iPads/iPods/AirPods/any apple device that charges via lightning port; the other end is a typical usb-a, so it’s just like the chargers that come with apple devices and can plug into an apple power brick or laptop or your vehicles USB port or anywhere else with a regular USB port (not to be confused with the new (late 2021) apple chargers that switched from usb-a to the newer and faster usb-c. But as of March 2022, very few apple devices include a lightning to usb-c, and either way, lightning to regular usb still works just fine on those devices. Apple just wanted to update the other end that plugs into the power source to usb-c, which is much quicker charging
