• If you have a magsafe case or the snap ring it is strong. Not that great holding onto a phone without it.

• I own this charger and it is a really strong magnet and the cable is braided and is a great length as well.

• It works well with an Apple magsafe case. Not so much with other aftermarket cases, that work with a magnet installed between the case and phone (magnet attached directly on back of the phone). This can also be due to the case material or thickness of it, or strength of the magnet themselves. This is my through experience and testing.
