“I have area rugs that are just under 3/4 inch thick. Will this transition from my hardwood floor to the rug. I have tried two other robot vacs and they would just approach the rug and back off once they made contact with the rug.”

I have an area rug 3/4 inch thick that is made out of a stiff rope-like material and the Neato has no issues with it.

Please try again later.Hi Marc, thank you for your question, Neato can clean all floor types including carpet, tile, laminate and hardwood floors and can clear obstacles, thresholds or changes in floor surface that are up to 3/4" (19mm) high.. Neato will have difficulty with thick shag rugs or carpet – we recommend that carpet and rug fibers be 15mm / 0.6 in or less. Neato may also have trouble with carpet made of synthetic fiber, even if it is 15mm/ 0.6 in or less. ^Your Neato Team
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on how aggressive the transition is. It does fine with both our bathroom rug and a relatively thick anti fatigue mat in the kitchen. Our transitions to carpet from hardwood are also pretty bad and it handles them just fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes I believe that 3/4 in thick is definitely doable for this one. I have a 3 inch shaggy rug in the living room of my house that it almost was able to do... almost so I would think 3/4 would definitely be ok.
