Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should. You will need to disable the router function on your Modem/router combo. Xfinity customer service should be able to walk you through that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nest Wifi works with modem/router combo in a couple different ways. We recommend either disabling the Wi-Fi functionality of your combo or putting your combo in Bridge Mode. By putting it in Bridge Mode, Nest Wifi will be able to receive internet access from your modem and distribute it as strong and reliable Wi-Fi connection as well as solving a Double NAT issue. You can find more about Bridge Mode and Double NAT here: https://support.google.com/wifi/answer/6240987?hl=en
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Nest WiFi/Router, like all routers, needs a modem. The Nest will plug into the Ethernet out of your existing modem to get its signal then transmit a WiFi signal and manage routing from there. Any modem or modem/router combo will work as long as the modem works with your internet service provider. You would typically just turn off the unused WiFi signal on your existing modem/router for the sake of network security.
